QuoteLoupe (“we”, “us”) operates quoteloupe.com. This policy explains what information the site handles and what it does not. The short version: the quote details you enter into the checker never leave your device.
The short version
- Anything you type, paste or upload into the checker is processed in your browser. It is not sent to our servers, stored in a database or attached to an account.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name to use the checker.
- If you email us or use the contact form, we receive what you choose to send.
Information you enter in the checker
Prices, system details, the items you tick, and any text, PDF or photo you add are used only to calculate your results on your device. When you upload a PDF or photo, the text-reading software is downloaded to your browser and runs there; the file itself is never transmitted. Closing the page, reloading it or pressing Reset clears everything you entered. We have built the site so that it cannot send this information anywhere.
Information we receive when you contact us
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply and to improve the site, and we keep them only as long as needed for that purpose. The contact form does not store submissions on the website; messages are delivered to our mailbox. [DRAFT: confirm the email provider and retention period.]
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider ([DRAFT: Hostinger]) and our network provider ([DRAFT: Cloudflare]) may record technical data such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request, for security, reliability and abuse prevention.
- Your preferences. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
- Analytics. The site does not currently use analytics. If we add a privacy-focused analytics tool, we will name it here before it is switched on.
- Advertising. The site does not currently show ads. If we add advertising, for example Google AdSense, the provider may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. We will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent before such cookies are set.
Cookies
The checker itself sets no cookies. See our cookie policy for details of any cookies used by the site or its providers.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the site (such as hosting and email), when required by law, or to protect the site and its users from abuse.
Optional data sharing in the future
If we ever offer an option to share anonymized quote details to help build price benchmarks, it will be off by default, require a separate tick box, exclude names, addresses and contact details, and be described on this page before it appears on the checker.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Because the checker keeps nothing, in practice this applies only to messages you send us. To make a request, email hello@quoteloupe.com. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and its security settings restrict the checker from sending data to other servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, which is one reason we designed the checker to keep your quote on your device.

If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Significant changes, such as adding analytics or advertising, will be made here before they take effect.
