We would like to hear from you, especially when something on the site is wrong or unclear. Corrections make the checker and the guides better for everyone who comes after you.

What to write to us about

  • Corrections. A fact, rule or weight you think is wrong. Tell us the page and, if you can, a source. See our editorial policy for how we handle corrections.
  • Questions about using the checker. If a result is confusing or an item does not fit your quote, ask.
  • Guide suggestions. A question you could not find answered here.
  • Press and partnerships. Include your publication or organization and your deadline.

What we cannot help with

We cannot review your quote personally, recommend a contractor, tell you whether a price is fair, or give legal or tax advice. For disputes with a contractor, your state’s contractor licensing board or consumer protection office is the right place to start.

Please do not email us your quote or personal documents. The checker reads quotes on your own device precisely so that nobody, including us, needs to see them.
