- Contractor licence number shown
- Parts and labor warranty terms in writing
- Removal and disposal of old equipment

Uploading a photo
Four tips for a photo the checker can read
-
Fit the whole page
Hold the phone straight above the quote so all four corners are in the frame.
-
Use even light
Daylight or a bright room works best. Avoid your own shadow across the page.
-
Skip the glare
Tilt the page slightly if a lamp or window reflects off glossy paper.
-
Add every page
Totals, warranty terms and exclusions often sit on page two. Add up to three images.
Questions about reading a quote
What should I tick if a line in my quote is vague?
Leave it unticked. Only tick an item when the quote clearly says it is included. A vague line becomes a question to ask, which is the point.
What is a load calculation, and why does it matter?
It is a room-by-room estimate of how much heating and cooling your home needs, usually called Manual J. Without one, the system size is often a guess based on square footage.
What do SEER2 and HSPF2 mean on my quote?
They are efficiency ratings: SEER2 for cooling, HSPF2 for heat pump heating. Higher is more efficient. Check that the rating on the quote matches the exact model numbers listed.
